As part of the week 4 challenges for this new season, players must perform a variety of tasks on the map, one of which involves gathering travel distance using the bluish-purple kinetic ores. In this guide, we will tell you how you can easily travel long distances using a Kinetic Ore in Fortnite.

Where to find the kinetic ore in Fortnite?

Kinetic ores are bluish-purple slabs that seem to contain some kind of strange energy. It's the same material that the Shockwave Hammer uses to send players flying across the map. These Kinetic Ore Slabs can only be found in abundance at the Shattered Slabs POI, which is essentially a mining facility. How to travel distance using a Kinetic Ore in Fortnite

Achieving long travel distances with kinetic ores is pretty straightforward. Once you find a kinetic ore, approach it and then hit it with your pickaxe tool about four or five times. The Kinetic Ore will begin to emit a beam of energy in the opposite direction of where you hit it.

The main trick here is to look in the direction you want to travel and then hit the Kinetic Ore. When the Kinetic Ore builds up enough power, get on the slab and you'll get a slingshot in the direction of the energy beam, thus. gathering great travel distance in the process.

This challenge is divided into five stages, with the travel distance required for each stage increasing exponentially: 50 meters, 100 meters, 250 meters, 500 meters, and finally 1000 meters. Completing each stage of the challenge will reward players with 16,000 XP.
