How to raise heat level in fortnite - Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1's Most Wanted event is all about breaking into named locations and stealing the exotic weapons that belong to a group of NPCs called the Cold Blooded Syndicate. 

 

Although the goal is to commit crimes, lawbreakers can still expect to be punished and rewarded for their misdeeds, all thanks to the event's heat level mechanic. Here's how to increase your heat level in Fortnite and what effects you'll get.

How to get a higher heat level in the Fortnite Most Wanted event

Fortnite's heat level system signifies the impact it has had on matches during the Most Wanted event, and it has both advantages and disadvantages. You can increase your heat level simply by taking out opponents and members of the Cold Blooded Syndicate or by opening Cold Blooded Vaults located around named locations. 

However, those with at least one heat level will become visible on player minimaps and are more likely to die from cold-blooded NPCs.

Despite this, the buffs gained from heat levels certainly make achieving eliminations and unlocking vaults worth it. As shown above, there are four heat levels you can progress to, each rewarding you with a special ability upon reaching it.

This includes faster movement, the power to regenerate health, and even gain additional gold from enemies. You can find each heat level and their abilities given below.

• Heat Level 1: Grants additional bars after eliminating an enemy
• Heat Level 2: Grants a 15% increase in movement speed and regenerates your health outside of combat
• Heat Level 3: Grants a 20% increase in movement speed and regenerates your health and up to 50 shield out of combat.
• Heat Level 4: Increases your movement speed by 25% and regenerates your health and shield to full when not in combat.

Those who can raise their heat levels will even be rewarded after matches, as earning four levels grants Infamy on the Most Wanted reward tracker. This Infamy coin can be used to unlock one of their 12 cosmetics, including Gold Blooded Ace, a rare skin that is exclusive to the event for a limited time.
